Brass bands performs inside the beautiful Queens Park band rotunda and all morning. A full-sized replica of the first steam locomotive in Queensland, the Mary Ann, will also be chugging along the riverside. Built way back in the late 19th century in Maryborough, the Mary Ann will take passengers through Queens Park and the Mary River Parklands.
For kids and adults alike to enjoy, the miniature steam engines will also be going along on a circuit around Queens Park and they can climb onboard to enjoy the sights around. This has been a tradition which started by the city's Model Engineers and Live Steamers Association more than 30 years ago. This one that greatly captures Maryborough's lighthearted and family-friendly lifestyle.
